Low Carbon Silico Manganese

Low Carbon Silico Manganese (LCSiMn) is a ferrous alloy that contains carbon, silica, and manganese. It’s used in the production of steel.
LCSiMn has a lower ratio of carbon to silicon and manganese than other varieties. It can contain between 0.1% and 0.2% carbon and  more silicon than a high-carbon variety. The lower carbon content is useful in steelmaking because it improves the decarburization process when reducing slag.
LCSiMn and ultra low carbon silico manganese can improve the productivity in the manufacture of stainless steel and special steel by eliminating decarburization in the final step .

Some of High Low and Medium Carbon Silico Manganese applications are found in industries like

Stainless Steel Mills
