Low carbon ferrochrome

Low carbon ferrochrome (LC FeCr) is a ferroalloy additive used in the production of stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, and heat-resistant steel. It can also be used to make chrome metal and ferrochrome.
LC FeCr is made from raw materials like silicon-chromium alloys, chromite, lime, and other metallurgical materials. It’s produced by fusing chromium ore and lime in a furnace, and then adding intermediate-grade ferrochrome silicon to the ladle.
LC FeCr is resistant to wear and tear, and it can improve the anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance of steel. It’s also resistant to rust and oxidation, and it’s stable at high temperatures.

Some of High Carbon Ferro Chrome applications are found in industries like

Stainless Steel Mills
